Web site design: How do you do the drop n’drag of photos like myspace does for top friends?

If you have a myspace account, you can change the order and select your top Friends using a drop n’drag method in the web browser. What programinning technical for the web is used to accomplish this?

Java scripts , PHP, Ajax, is the languages which could do this kind of arrangements. maybe bellow link could give you an Idea to begin :)
