I have always felt i have a talent for directing, and or producing porn. for real not joking, i dont want to be in them , well i dont care to be honest. but it seems there is NO info online about it. anyone point me in the right direction?

Not exactly, but I’d suggest a move to the San Fernando Valley (just north of Los Angeles) or somewhere in Nevada, or risk getting arrested practically anywhere else.

I would imagine you’d do it the same way you’d become a director, producer or cam man for any other type of filmmaking.

Well, first off, do you have the necessary technical skills? People may think that porn is somehow less professional than mainstream productions, but it just isn’t true. You need to know how to operate cameras, how to understand the lingo and get the proper shots.

If you’re talented and qualified, finding a job as a cameraman shouldn’t be too hard. You probably won’t be able to find a job as a director unless you’ve spent some time in the industry (which is also a practical point, since you need to learn things by observing as well). Unless you’ve directed/produced/done cam work on other mainstream productions and have something to show to your prospective employers, they’ll probably not consider you for directing or producing.

You should try interning at a company like Kink.com or someone like that- they’re always looking for talented folks. And I happen to know that Trannywood Pictures, also located in San Francisco, is looking for camera workers and directors, so you might want to talk to them!
