When will the presidential candidates stop letting the media dictate their actions and what they say?

It’s like enough with the media they don’t know much and just stir things up and distract from the real issues as far as I am concerned. NO more one liners, explain already and if the media jumps on you tell to take a hike. We don’t need someone in the White House that is worried about the media and which way the wind blows. Enough with the I didn’t mean to offend your dog or the person working for me may ahhe said that but I didn’t and I apologize.

Ive wondered that for a long time

for our leaders to lead they must not be afraid to make unpopular decisions

The media is 90% liberal, so they want Obama to win. They spin every story so that he’s shown in a positive light. They’re covering for him so much because the man is a walking disaster. Everything he says, he ends up recanting, or backtracking. His inexperience and global naivete shows every time he opens his mouth. It’s embarassing. And McCain’s so middle of the road, he’s almost a leftist. He doesn’t sound at all conservative or Republican, so the media exploits his weaknesses. (drilling for oil and immigration). They’re both clueless and don’t listen to the American people. We’re hurting (economically) and neither is candidate is feeling our pain.
