How do you set up media sharing with the xbox 360 and windows media player 11?

I have set up sharing with the media player but when i test my connection with the 360 it says pc selected failed. I am using a wired connection.

Before you test the connection, when you hook up your ethernet to your computer, it should pop up in the corner and say windows media extendor found. After that you click on it and it will give you instructions including when to run the test and what to put.

    i have/had the same problem!! but when my friend came over with his fancy laptop, he automatically connected his laptop wirelessly to my xbox and we were jammin’ to his songs on my xbox, and thats what i wanna do with my desktop pc, but i cant get it to work, i just gave up. XP
