I have set up a new website (talk-it-over.co.uk) which is basically an online and telephone consultancy offering confidential and impartial advice to people’s personal and business problems. I am looking at ways to market this on the Internet. I’m going down all the usual channels i.e. social media, blogging, submitting articles with a signature, forums etc. but really I need to try and pinpoint the people who would specifically need my service – those more in the 25+ range,I think – and who would be willing to pay for such a service (although my fees are very affordable). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

I guess you already know what are the best ways to market your website online, however I suggest you to consider SEO (for long term) & Google Adwords (for instant lead).
If we talk in terms of Online Marketing, it’s an long process and you need to plan for each activity phase by phase to target your audience.

Many ways – nvere stick to one way to get results.
1] I suggest http://www.sellit-right.com – they accept Biz, general, products, blogs listings etc-The list goes on. Sign-up is easy and no ‘confirm email’ needed which is good! They also have a great referral programme. Join others there.
2] Create blog accept comments, and links.
3] Add url to web directories too.
4] Word of mouth and flyer hand outs too.

I found there website through an article that specifically listed they as a good website that sells high quality traffic. I purchased 5,000 visitors to my website, and noticed the difference before I even checked my logs! I am so glad that I finally found a way to market my website that can be done quickly. I know how important SEO is, but they have to promote in other ways too. I know I’ve found a working method!

You are aiming at a perfect demographic for Internet users.
It should be known that over 85% of Internet users will first use a search engine to find the information they are looking for.
If one of your revenue streams is by charging people for your service from your website or offline, it would then be wise to consider Search Engine Optimization and Pay per Click strategies to increase the traffic to your website.
To start building up your brand (as well as some good link juice), submit articles, blog, etc. as you have stated above.
