How do I target services to mothers of school aged children with internet marketing?

Firstly you need to put yourself in the position of a mother of a school aged child. Where would you go for information, what sort of questions would you ask. What needs does your product or service satisfy. Once you have built your customer profile it will be a lot easier to target them.

My perspective, searching via search engines is need driven. so think about blog posts answering common questions surrounding your product or service, Who, Why, What, When How. You need to be able to build an email list so have a way for people to subscribe to your email list. You can increase email subscriptions by offering something for free such as a parenting ebook or free subscription/ trial.

Social Media
Twitter
Use twitter to connect with people who have school aged children / interested in your service create a profile and use the search function to target prospective customers.post interesting child related news.

Facebook
Create a facebook profile for your company and add people interested in your products or services.

You Tube
Create how to videos related to your products or services.

WARNING
You need to be very careful in the way you interact with this market. There has been talk of paedophiles befriending mothers via social networking to gain access to children and pictures of children.

I’m guessing this is just a demographics targeting question. Perhaps some social networks provide sufficient user profile info. In facebook you could guess that a married female between 24 and 32 is likely to be a mother of young children.

Your best chance may well be using placed network advertising (Google and Yahoo support this) on sites that pertain to parenthood and homemaking.

Just did a search on buysellads.com for parenting related sites, got 2, Woman Tribune & Lucky Mom Parenting Blog that have banner space for sale (6 for Mom). luckymom for example is not a great bannner bargain but you can aim adwords at it too.

If you are looking for a system in pakistan, developed by millionaires, and proven to generate at least 3540$ per day from home when you’re just starting out, this may very well be the most important letter you will ever read!
