		<description>This process model -- if you can call it a process model -- was not really available when Collins started.  I&#039;m sure they would not have put these descriptions in their Software Engineering Management Plans.

Automated test has been around for a long time (I used it in 1986 and it wasn&#039;t new then).  It is not the automation that makes tests good or bad.  It is how well the testers verify the code performs to the requirements AND how well the testers validate that the requirements are correct.
