Do think strengthening laws protecting digital music rights would boost the economy?

It just seems to me that digital music bought online is such a good product delivery method that the music industry should be making money hand over fist, which is good for us all. Instead, they are wallowing in decay.

No.

I don’t think so. You guys have no idea how much fun it was to go to a great record store and listen to people talk about music and concerts and about who the exciting new bands are et cetera. It was like a coffeehouse without the coffee and you got to meet real people who had feelings and opinions and it was a ton of fun.

You guys have no idea of what you are missing. It’s called the human connection, and it is essential to a great music scene whether it happens to be jazz, rock, blues, soul, funk, metal, country and western, hip hop or any other genre out there.

With an album you got 10-12 songs, a poster, great cover art, great liner notes, and a place to meet and here what other people were listening to and why. Music was far more social and socializing than it is today.

You can keep your digital music and stick it right where the sun doesn’t shine as far as I’m concerned. You’ll never get me to buy digital crap online.

    I don’t think I answered your question, and I don’t care.
