Why does the media take the opposite position on the AZ law as most Americans?

Posted by admin on June 16th, 2010 and filed under media | 15 Comments »

70% of Americans support it but the media is relentlessly against it..

Dont you think the media gotten bolder in expressing thier liberal views in recent years?

Not ALL media is against it, just the liberals(most of media) who are in bed with the Obama Admin. Obviously they have something to gain by their biased news reporting.

How would the media react if a Bollywood actress married a famous Black American man?

Posted by admin on June 5th, 2010 and filed under media | 5 Comments »

Both American media and Indian media. I notice that many of the actresses in Bollywood do look unique and good. Well a large majority date and marry other Indians with a small minority marrying Whites. I was wondering, how would the media react if a famous Black person like lets say an NBA star or a famous Black actor ended up marrying a famous Indian Bollywood actress?

They would go MUY loca. I think that would be a rather gorgeous couple though. Indian women are beautiful, and black men are sexy. There is no better pairing is there?

What is meant by different Media when talking about Masks?

Posted by admin on May 26th, 2010 and filed under media | 1 Comment »

In art we are doing an exam on Masks and there doesn’t seem to be any information about them on the internet. These are questions that Im needing answers to:

- "On the next few pages try out some different designs using wide variety of different media"
- "Write which different media are the most successful and why"

What is also meant by "experimenting with different visual ideas?"

And if you could give me websites with masks from Africa, Egypt, or different cultures and information, would very much be appreciated.

When talking about art, the word "media" is just another word for "materials" – that is, what you use to construct your mask. Media could be clay, wood, paper mache, twine, seashells, feathers, construction paper, etc.

"Experiment" means to try different things to see what works best. So they want you to try using some of these different media I’ve listed above and create different designs to see what produces the best looking, or most sturdy, or most intriguing mask (it doesn’t have to look good to be interesting & capture people’s attention…).

There is tons of information regarding masks and also how to construct them on the Web. Just Google, "how to make a mask" or else search for masks from different cultures or events (e.g., ‘Native American masks’, ‘Mardi Gras masks’, ‘masks from around the world’, etc.).

Put in some effort, you’ll have fun with it. You’ll be proud of yourself once you see what you can achieve on your own…

How do I integrate codecs into my media player?

Posted by admin on May 16th, 2010 and filed under media | 2 Comments »

I recently downloaded an iso file and mount it on a new drive using daemon tools. The video works fine, however the audio is not available and windows media player says that it does not support the audio. So I went to download k-lite codecs.

The media player classic that came with the k-lite codecs played the video fine, however not windows media player. That means that WMV is not utilising the codecs, how do I make WMV utilise the k-lite codecs?

Sometimes the software is not compatible and just doesn’t work. I like to use http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ or http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/. In other words not all codecs work with all software. I run more than five different media and video players in order to learn how to use the different software programs.

What is the best media player device that will run windows media player?

What is the best media player device that will run windows media player? I have 4 tv’s and I want them all to have the same OS. Something cheap will be nice.

I am sorry but I don’t get what you are asking. Your TVs don’t need an operating system you just need to hook up your computer to them.

What are some interesting mass media ethical scandals?

I have to write a paper on mass media ethical scandals. Anything where someone in the media acted unethically and got caught. Any ideas?

Dan Rather from CBS News reported as factual unverified mis-truths (lies) about George W. Bush’s military service. He was forced to resign in disgrace when the real truth was revealed.

Why did the media lie about Jade Goody having only a few hours to live last sunday?

Posted by admin on February 24th, 2010 and filed under media | 14 Comments »

Many websites said Jade Goody will not make it to the end of this week. They even said last sunday that she will not see the end of monday.

Why does the media get so over-excited on issues like this. Even deceiving the public?

she is dead now..

REST IN PEACE JADE GOODY

god bless you and your 2 little sons

How does the media cause girls to start an eating disorder?

Posted by admin on February 20th, 2010 and filed under media | 6 Comments »

I believe that the media is one of the major causes of eating disorders in girls. Modeling industries only want thin women so girls start to believe that they have to be thin to be pretty.

All they ever show in any kind of ads (or at least most of them) is really skinny girls. Most women do not and cannot look like them, but young girls are going to try to be "perfect" like them.

The other day, my 7 year old (who doesn’t have an ounce of fat on her) didn’t want to wear a sweater that I had taken out for her because she said it "makes her look fat". That’s just very sad.

Is the Zune media player going to work well with windows vista?

Posted by admin on February 18th, 2010 and filed under media | 3 Comments »

This is my first media player or anything at that, not even ipod shuffle. I don’t get it until Christmas so will I like it and will I be able to operate easy through vista? Thanks!

I have it, and I have vista.

Works perfectly fine.

I’d also like to add, I think this happens on any computer not just vista, but if you plug your Sync cable into a port that’s not working correctly your computer will be screwed up. (Random crashes, random shutdowns, freezes) So if that happens, change the USB Port it’s plugged into.

Just a heads up if it happens, I know several people it has happened to.
