Reciprocity
a marketing tool where you give people something of value for free, they reciprocate by purchasing your product or service.
Ex. "get a free camera when you subscribe to our magazine for two years."
No credit card requierd
"one month of free Internet service"
." If the Internet service performs well, the prospective customer feels an obligation to sign up.
Scarcity
There is a limited amount of the item available. After those are gone, the item will not be available. "urgency" implies Scarcity. For example, "this offer will be honored only for a limited time".
Commitment
A prospective customer makes that first commitment towards purchasing the product by requesting the free information. The free information they receive is designed to entice them to take the next step.
Have you ever been tricked by any of these scam and what do you think tricked you?
none work on me.
Considering promotion mix categories such as advertising, personal selling, direct marketing etc. I belive all of them are being used in a combined fashion. I just can’t think of specific examples. Would it be like when you buy a computer from Dell’s website it offers you to buy other products and accessories? Is that correct?
An example of personal selling is when those annoying pop ups come up asking if you want to chat with a customer service person.
Direct marketing is selling directly from a web site, not just using it to promote products. Dell would be an example of direct marketing.
Sales promotion would be offering accessories free or at a special price with an order of a laptop, as an example.
Direct mail (e-mail) is used a lot by Amazon – they track your searches and purchases on Amazon’s web site and then send emails with products similar to those you have bought in the past (same topic of a book, for instance, or same artist for CDs or MP3s)

Hi,
I’m planning on starting a micro-business dedicated to promotions and Internet Marketing & Consulting.
We are offering the following services as a beginning:
Car Advertising – we will pay people to put our clients advertisements on their cars.
Moving Advertising- We will have our own fleet moving constantly display our clients ads.
And Internet Marketing & Consulting – We will work on pay-per-click campaigns, social media presence, and website optimization for our clients.
The issue is that we don’t have a clue on who to contact to make proposals and how to do it.
We don’t know if we have to contact the business directly or contact their Advertising Agencies, so they could offer our services to their clients.
Any help on this will be really appreciated.

Where you could buy a keyboard and it would conect to your tv and then to your phoneline and you could access the basic internet via your landline at local rates. It was marketed around 2001, but haven’t heard of it since about 2002-2003.
It wasn’t cable or satellite internet like the wireless keyboards you get, it was an independant company.
Thanks for any answers
it was an add-on to ONdigital, the digital tv service that folded. the forerunner of freeview. Johnny Vegas and Monkey did the ads for it.
What’s your feedback about this company? Are they sincere and helpful? Did they manage to change your way and idea about marketing on the internet?
How much money do you have spend monthly on their services? Is it an ongoing thing for their help or you can be on your own after learning the ropes?
Thank you very much. Really appreciate it.
I have not hear of them, but maybe the users of IM Report Card can help. Lots of reviews and active forums there.
I’m starting a company and would like to optimize my internet marketing ability.
Yes. Visit www.wordtracker.com or www.keyworddiscovery.com. You have to pay a subscribtion fee but it’s well worth it. It sounds like your business is just starting out. In that case you want to optimize your pages for the most relevant keyword terms you can find that have the least competition because your site isn’t in a position to compete for highly competitive keyword terms yet. You need good SEO and lots of links before you can go for those keywords, and it takes time to aquire lots of links. Study your competition. Also, don’t overlook the internal linking structure of your site. If you decide to hire an Internet marketer and SEO e-mail me at moonshine27858@yahoo.com. Good Luck!
I provide a service of Internet marketing and work from home. However, the computer, desk and room where I work is not just exclusively for business, it’s our living room and general computer. So, I am not sure if I can still only fill in question 30 and attach form 8829 or if I need to fill in the full expenses bit in part II. Any help would be great!
See if you meet the rules for using schedule C-EZ rather than the full schedule C. The instructions have the rules.
You can’t take a home office deduction since the room isn’t used exclusively for business. So you don’t use form 8829. And a home office deduction often triggers an audit, and yes they would very likely verify the exclusive use part.
