When COMPANIES advertise for job openings the salary budget is "Negotiable". Then they get the employment agencies to help them to source for the same openings but setting different salary budgets for different employment agencies to work on. Currently employment agencies “Do Not Disclose Companies Name" to jobseekers they represent. Consequently the same jobseeker may be sending to the same "Company" directly or through different employment agencies with different salary budgets.

1) Now if you are the Company receiving the same CVs from the same jobseeker with different salary budget via different sources what will you think and do with the same jobseeker ?

2) If you are a Jobseeker, do you think you will get the job ?

3) If you are the Employment Agency do you think you can close the deal ?

The consequences will be the Companies asking to see more CVs and lose confidence with the jobseekers at large and ended up taking a longer time for employment agencies to close deals. This will affect the survival of jobseekers and employment agencies. So I urge Employment Agencies “To Disclose Company Names" they represent to all jobseekers from the start to avoid duplicated CVs with different salary budgets ended in the hands of Companies.

Jobseekers and Employment Agencies have to work closely to share information about Companies who are out there to "Test Market" and wasting jobseekers and employment agencies time, effort and money bearing in mind that the Companies do not pay a single cent at all. By not disclosing and sharing information about the "Companies" amongst employment agencies and jobseekers it will only drive employment agencies and jobseekers into desperation. Companies will take advantage of this weakness and keep setting lower and lower salary budgets for employment agencies to work on. This will further create for frustration and desperation amongst employment agencies and jobseekers. The job market in Singapore is small and the employment agencies and jobseekers have to work "Smart" and not let the Companies “Fool” them.

Employment agencies should not worry about jobseekers sending their CVs direct to their Clients cause most of the Companies have that "Shopping for the Best Candidate" attitude through various sources. At the end of the day it is all about which jobseeker has the "BEST MATCH" in the eyes of the Companies not the employment agencies nor the jobseekers.Companies may instruct employment agencies “Not to Disclose" their Companies Names to jobseekers so that they are better "Manipulate" jobseekers and employment agencies. Companies usually want to portray themselves as good employers who are willing to pay what the jobseekers are worth for. So they choose to hide behind these employment agencies to "test market" without dirtying their own hands.

As a jobseeker you don’t really have anything to negotiate with. A company that wants to recruit at the lowest possible rate will be able to do so. If they don’t pay enough to retain high quality staff, they will eventually suffer – but that can take years, or even decades.

Agencies are more interested in how many people they place than in whether their placements are in good jobs they will stay with.

The only thing you can do is to keep looking until you find something. And then, if it isn’t good enough, continue looking.

That FIFA president Blatter was accused of corruption back in 1998 or 2002….

Sepp Blatter’s 1998 election to the presidency of FIFA over UEFA President Lennart Johansson occurred amidst much controversy. His 2002 candidacy has been marked with rumours of financial irregularities and backroom dealings, culminating with direct accusations of bribery, by a third party, made in the British press by the Farra Ado, vice-president of the CAF and president of the Somalian football association, who claimed to have been offered $100,000 to vote for Blatter in 1998.
Amidst internal divisions ,FIFA’s secretary-general Blatter’s deputy and former protégé, Michel Zen-Ruffinen drew up a 30-page dossier outlining allegations of financial mismanagement within the organisation. The dossier alleged that the collapse of FIFA’s marketing partner ISL had led to losses of up to $100m under Blatter’s management. The allegations were backed by Johansson, and the dossier was handed to the Swiss authorities, but they cleared him of any wrong doing and FIFA had to pay all the costs. An internal investigation within FIFA was halted by Blatter because members of it broke confidentiality agreements.

Could this include last year’s CL semi-final between Chelsea and Barcelona ?
And… becasue he is a "Knight of the French Legion of Honour" he didn’t do anything to replay a match between France
and Ireland…is he making football by his favorites?

Yeah! I think so because of the uncalled penalties.

Alot of this was off emotion,so i know it’s not even close to my best. just read and analyze, thanks

Blowing the Whistle

The National Basketball Association has overcame odds such as Bankrupcy, reformations, media
disputes, ratial inbalances , and age requirements , but it’s never overcame conspiracy theories. If the NBA is commited to a fair and balanced league, it sure has some very “questionable” ways of showing it. The NBA is avoiding the issue that games have been comprimised and distorted and it goes against all the values the NBA was built on. The National Basketball Association should look into the issue that referees and executives comprimised games, because it’s a game of passion, pride, heart and determination and teams do not spend millions of dollars and years of building, all for not, because of a corrupt league.

There is an immense difference between atrocious refereeing in a game, and a game that was pre-determined and to say that NBA referees conspired against certain teams. However, if you look at the stage thats set for refs and executives, it’s not so far fetched. They say you can always put a price on something, and throw down a few million, and those stripes on the back of their shirts, start to looNk like a teams jersey. Additionally, executives of the NBA would definetly like to have a more enjoyable series, who wouldn’t? However, if you conspire against teams based on the fact that their not as popular or not as marketable, is not only unfair, but it’s illegal, and they should be brought to justice.

The 2002 NBA Western Conference Finals. One of the most memorable series in playoff history. It was the Two Peat NBA champion, big market, Shaq-Kobe powerhouse, the Los Angeles Lakers versus the Small market, youthful, up and coming, 12 man determined, Sacramento Kings. The games went back and forth, it was an electrifying series with plays like Robert Horry’s game winner in Game 4, and Mike Bibby’s dagger in Game 5. Fittingly the series ended in overtime in Game 7 as the Lakers won, and ended up becoming the 3 peat champions of the NBA. However in between all that was a Game 6 that still today is disputed, and is also merited as the Worsed refereed game in NBA History, and has left people literally sick to their stomach after that game. The Lakers shot 27 fourth quarter free throws. In the closing seconds, Kobe Bryant elbowed Mike Bibby in the nose and resulted in Bibby’s nose to bleed. The foul was called on Mike Bibby. So Mike Bibby’s nose fouled Kobe Bryant’s elbow? Interesting. The NBA screwed the Sacramento Kings.

As a Sacramento Kings fan it is very frustrating to be constantly reminded of the fact that the Kings had an excellent chance to beat the Nets in the Finals, and therefore become NBA Champions. Who knows what would happen in the coming years? If you look at the facts, the Lakers shot 27 Free throws in the fourth quarter, 27. It’s like watching your kid playing a high school basketball game, and them never having a chance to win. It hurts. 8 Years have passed, and yes they say Referees have bad games, but this is indesputable evidence that the NBA conspired against the Sacramento Kings because it would be beneficial to have a Game 7. “My dream Finals matchup? The Lakers vs. The Lakers.” A direct quote from NBA commissioner David Stern .
“We never had a chance to win.” “ It was the worse officiated game I’ve ever seen, and I wrote that in the Washington Post.” “It proves everything I suspected.” Those, just a few quotes from random people involved around the 2002 Playoff scene. It’s universal . Action must be takin against the NBA and the referees involved in this scandal. If not, the NBA will fall, like the XFL. If it looked bad on TV, imagine how it felt to be appart of the game. What people fail to realize, is that their players, but their human beings first. The thought of the game being actually compromised because they wanted a bigger and more marketable team in the Finals. It’s sad, and it’s irresponsable.

In conclusion, the NBA has not takin anysteps to a independent investigation upon the Refs. It’s sad to see that the sport that was built on very strong values, is even being questioned that it is a league of corrupt officials and executives. However it is a top 2 sport in the world, it may never escape the dark shadow, that the NBA is indeed, a conspiracy.
fuck you faggot, yeah it was 8 years ago, but it doesnt erase the fact that the nba screwed the kings. and the rockets in 05.

I actually read it all and I’d say it is pretty good, something I would turn in to my English teacher and be proud of.

My English teacher says using a lot of quotes is really nice and can add up to more stuff you can write about. But if you use more quotes essays will always look nicer.

I also think you should include other facts from the NBa that it is a conspiracy because like the guy said one game doesn’t really make it a conspiracy.

Try talking about that corrupt ref that got sent to jail and about other games like D-Wade in the 2006 Finals. I like Wade and yes he did drive A LOT but he got plenty of phantom fouls too.

Really stuck! Let me know if anything needs changing, is it ok? Thanks

There are a multitude of reasons as to why I chose this degree to be the next stepping-stone in my educational life. The first of which is that although clichéd, it has been my ambition since I was younger. There were various points in my life that pointed me towards marketing and I think that the first of these was when I contributed to the Young Enterprise Scheme. The team decided to sell a selection of fair trade goods within the school and it was my job to help with advertising and market research. I found this experience to be both fulfilling and insightful because it allowed me to see how the things around us influence our behaviour or at that time the behaviour of my fellow students. Another experience that further amplified my interest in the marketing side of business was my A-level coursework. In this coursework I had to design a soft drinks business although I had to focus strongly on the marketing mix. I had to carry out a number of pieces of primary and secondary research, this included constructing a questionnaire for my target market to complete and then analysing the information gleaned from it to better my marketing mix. Another aspect of the coursework was that I had to design and execute a presentation on my product, this had to last approximately twenty minutes and I found it thoroughly enjoyable as well as giving me a larger insight into the marketing department of a business. Although Business Studies is one of the leading contributors in my choice to pursue marketing I believe that my other AS subjects handed me skills that would be useful in a marketing role.

Firstly I recognise that in order to write a business report for example, a person must be able to write clearly, concisely and competently and I have construed that studying English Language has given me this ability. It is clear to me that to be able to market to any target market a person needs to understand not only individuals but also humanity as a whole. Sociology sheds light on the human condition allowing a person to measure and interpret national changes in the behaviours, attitudes and beliefs of the populace in a country, which is I think is a vital tool in any marketer’s belt. In 2006 I enjoyed working as an office assistant in a small business located within the Albert Dock. The company was called Beverages Direct who work in close association with Nestle supplying coffee machines, juicing machines as well as ingredients to many customers all over the UK. As an office assistant I had various duties including franking important documents, using data accounts such as Sage as well as collecting information for invoices. An advantage of the business being small was that I was able to see each department working cohesively to achieve the business objectives.

However I believe that the extra curricular activities in a person’s life are also important and this is why up until 2006 I was a member of Bebington Scouts, whilst a part of this institution I took part in a number of activities that I am still today rather proud of. The first of these is the Cheshire Hike; this is a large event that consists of a 25-mile hike spanned over two days. I walked with two other scouts over the two days and this meant that teamwork was essential. During my time in the scouts I completed a basic First Aid course and have retrained more recently within my college. I have a great enthusiasm for First Aid because I thrive under pressure and the act of helping somebody else fills me with a great sense of achievement. I also love to read and have read a variety of books relating to marketing and business as a whole; however the one that I found most interesting was "The Philosophy of Branding" by Thom Braun. It was an insightful read because it offered a new and innovative way of thinking to modern day marketing whilst relating back to the great western philosophers including Socrates, Plato and even Heraclitus.

Hey there,

I recently have applied for university through UCAS and i had to also do a personal statement. When you send it through UCAS the teacher checks it and the teacher came up to me and said my personal statement is too good. I was shocked, lol. I suppose the teacher thought it wasn’t my own work and i had alot of help on it. But for real i sat up until 3AM in the morning to complete and was kind of hurt to find out the teacher didn’t think i was capable of producing the work i did. Still shocks me that there is such thing as a too good of a personal statement. lol

Your personal statement is alright, i would say you need to structure it more and as far as i’m concerned UCAS have a certain limit to how much you can write. Or maybe your applying to a uni that doesn’t do it through UCAS. Anyway i would advise you to read a few sample personal statements on the internet and find yourself a reliable and adequate structure. Cut out the blabber. "franking important documents", doesn’t sound right, perhaps you should use an alternative word and ask a teacher to check your work and give you helpful advise on what you can do.

In my PS the teacher told me to take quotes out which i personally thought added a great touch, but you have to understand other peoples opinions but also keeping in mind this is your PS. I don’t know why but i feel English is not a language you are comfortable with? Do you not speak English that good?

Well good luck! Let me know how well you get on!

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Please remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace.

MARIJUANA, MYTHS ABOUT MARIJUANA, AND OTHER NON-"STONER" REASONS THAT MARIJUANA SHOULD BE LEGALIZED.

First of all, this is information on marijuana from a purely factual stand point, so even if you are against marijuana PLEASE READ THIS. there are too many ignorant people against marijuana…you dont have to smoke it to be for it’s legalization.

MARIJUANA MYTHS

1. Marijuana causes brain damage

The most celebrated study that claims to show brain damage is the rhesus monkey study of Dr. Robert Heath, done in the late 1970s. This study was reviewed by a distinguished panel of scientists sponsored by the Institute of Medicine and the National Academy of Sciences. Their results were published under the title, Marijuana and Health in 1982. Heath’s work was sharply criticized for its insufficient sample size (only four monkeys), its failure to control experimental bias, and the misidentification of normal monkey brain structure as "damaged". Actual studies of human populations of marijuana users have shown no evidence of brain damage. For example, two studies from 1977, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) showed no evidence of brain damage in heavy users of marijuana. That same year, the American Medical Association (AMA) officially came out in favor of decriminalizing marijuana. That’s not the sort of thing you’d expect if the AMA thought marijuana damaged the brain.

2. Marijuana damages the reproductive system

This claim is based chiefly on the work of Dr. Gabriel Nahas, who experimented with tissue (cells) isolated in petri dishes, and the work of researchers who dosed animals with near-lethal amounts of cannabinoids (i.e., the intoxicating part of marijuana). Nahas’ generalizations from his petri dishes to human beings have been rejected by the scientific community as being invalid. In the case of the animal experiments, the animals that survived their ordeal returned to normal within 30 days of the end of the experiment. Studies of actual human populations have failed to demonstrate that marijuana adversely affects the reproductive system.

3. Marijuana is a "gateway" drug — it leads to hard drugs

This is one of the more persistent myths. A real world example of what happens when marijuana is readily available can be found in Holland. The Dutch partially legalized marijuana in the 1970s. Since then, hard drug use — heroin and cocaine — have DECLINED substantially. If marijuana really were a gateway drug, one would have expected use of hard drugs to have gone up, not down. This apparent "negative gateway" effect has also been observed in the United States. Studies done in the early 1970s showed a negative correlation between use of marijuana and use of alcohol. A 1993 Rand Corporation study that compared drug use in states that had decriminalized marijuana versus those that had not, found that where marijuana was more available — the states that had decriminalized — hard drug abuse as measured by emergency room episodes decreased. In short, what science and actual experience tell us is that marijuana tends to substitute for the much more dangerous hard drugs like alcohol, cocaine, and heroin.

4. Marijuana suppresses the immune system

Like the studies claiming to show damage to the reproductive system, this myth is based on studies where animals were given extremely high — in many cases, near-lethal — doses of cannabinoids. These results have never been duplicated in human beings. Interestingly, two studies done in 1978 and one done in 1988 showed that hashish and marijuana may have actually stimulated the immune system in the people studied.

5. Marijuana is much more dangerous than tobacco

Smoked marijuana contains about the same amount of carcinogens as does an equivalent amount of tobacco. It should be remembered, however, that a heavy tobacco smoker consumes much more tobacco than a heavy marijuana smoker consumes marijuana. This is because smoked tobacco, with a 90% addiction rate, is the most addictive of all drugs while marijuana is less addictive than caffeine. Two other factors are important. The first is that paraphernalia laws directed against marijuana users make it difficult to smoke safely. These laws make water pipes and bongs, which filter some of the carcinogens out of the smoke, illegal and, hence, unavailable. The second is that, if marijuana were legal, it would be more economical to have cannabis drinks like bhang (a traditional drink in the Middle East) or tea which are totally non-carcinogenic. This is in stark contrast with "smokeless" tobacco products like snuff which can cause cancer of the mouth and throat. When all ofthese facts are taken together, it can be clearly seen that the reverse is true: marijuana is much SAFER than tobacco.

6. Legal marijuana would cause carnage on the highways

Although marijuana, when used to intoxication, does impair performance in a manner similar to alcohol, actual studies of the effect of marijuana on the automobile accident rate suggest that it poses LESS of a hazard than alcohol. When a random sample of fatal accident victims was studied, it was initially found that marijuana was associated with RELATIVELY as many accidents as alcohol. In other words, the number of accident victims intoxicated on marijuana relative to the number of marijuana users in society gave a ratio similar to that for accident victims intoxicated on alcohol relative to the total number of alcohol users. However, a closer examination of the victims revealed that around 85% of the people intoxicated on marijuana WERE ALSO INTOXICATED ON ALCOHOL. For people only intoxicated on marijuana, the rate was much lower than for alcohol alone. This finding has been supported by other research using completely different methods. For example, an economic analysis of the effects of decriminalization on marijuana usage found that states that had reduced penalties for marijuana possession experienced a rise in marijuana use and a decline in alcohol use with the result that fatal highway accidents decreased. This would suggest that, far from causing "carnage", legal marijuana might actually save lives.

7. Marijuana "flattens" human brainwaves

This is an out-and-out lie perpetrated by the Partnership for a Drug-Free America. A few years ago, they ran a TV ad that purported to show, first, a normal human brainwave, and second, a flat brainwave from a 14-year-old "on marijuana". When researchers called up the TV networks to complain about this commercial, the Partnership had to pull it from the air. It seems that the Partnership faked the flat "marijuana brainwave". In reality, marijuana has the effect of slightly INCREASING alpha wave activity. Alpha waves are associated with meditative and relaxed states which are, in turn, often associated with human creativity.

8. Marijuana is more potent today than in the past

This myth is the result of bad data. The researchers who made the claim of increased potency used as their baseline the THC content of marijuana seized by police in the early 1970s. Poor storage of this marijuana in un-air conditioned evidence rooms caused it to deteriorate and decline in potency before any chemical assay was performed. Contemporaneous, independent assays of unseized "street" marijuana from the early 1970s showed a potency equivalent to that of modern "street" marijuana. Actually, the most potent form of this drug that was generally available was sold legally in the 1920s and 1930s by the pharmaceutical company Smith-Klein under the name, "American Cannabis".

9. Marijuana impairs short-term memory

This is true but misleading. Any impairment of short-term memory disappears when one is no longer under the influence of marijuana. Often, the short-term memory effect is paired with a reference to Dr. Heath’s poor rhesus monkeys to imply that the condition is permanent.

10. Marijuana lingers in the body like DDT

This is also true but misleading. Cannabinoids are fat soluble as are innumerable nutrients and, yes, some poisons like DDT. For example, the essential nutrient, Vitamin A, is fat soluble but one never hears people who favor marijuana prohibition making this comparison.

11. There are over a thousand chemicals in marijuana smoke

Again, true but misleading. The 31 August 1990 issue of the magazine Science notes that of the over 800 volatile chemicals present in roasted COFFEE, only 21 have actually been tested on animals and 16 of these cause cancer in rodents. Yet, coffee remains legal and is generally considered fairly safe.

12. No one has ever died of a marijuana overdose

This is true. It was put in to see if you are paying attention. Animal tests have revealed that extremely high doses of cannabinoids are needed to have lethal effect. This has led scientists to conclude that the ratio of the amount of cannabinoids necessary to get a person intoxicated (i.e., stoned) relative to the amount necessary to kill them is 1 to 40,000. In other words, to overdose, you would have to consume 40,000 times as much marijuana as you needed to get stoned. In contrast, the ratio for alcohol varies between 1 to 4 and 1 to 10. It is easy to see how upwards of 5000 people die from alcohol overdoses every year and no one EVER dies of marijuana overdoses.

This is what the government won’t tell to us Americans. They are too stubborn to take back a law that has been in place for 69 years (Marijuana Tax Act of 1937).

Along with making marijuana illegal, the government spends billions of dollars each year fighting the drug war to keep marijuana and other drugs out of this country. Now i would like you to think of one person in this country that is unable to obtain marijuana or any other drug. If marijuana was legal, it would be create a market in the USA and there would be no reason for drug smuggling. Because marijuana would then be contained in the USA and smuggling would no longer be a problem, the government could much more easily control the use of the substance. Since everyone would now be buying their marijuana from stores in the USA, there would be a tax on this creating billions more in revenue for the government to add on to the billions no longer being spent on the war against marijuana.

A very high % of prisoners are non-violent drug offenders. With marijuana legalized, we wouldnt have to worry about drug dealers as much, which means less people going to prison, which in turn means more tax money to spend on something more important, like the HUGE deficit we have managed to create.

Marijuana might be a harmful substance, but so are many other substances that are legal, many of which are much more harmful. Marijuana is actually EASIER to obtain because it is illegal and is costing us billions of dollars to make it easier, why would we want to do that?

I hope you feel more informed after this. PLEASE REPOST THIS, whether you are for or against its legalization, people need to know the facts, not just that marijuana gets you high and screws up your life (which for the most part is not true). Also, tell everyone you know about these facts. Marijuana should be legal and the government will not do anything about it unless we stand up and voice the TRUTH
I have noticed that alot of people have left a message. Saying people that do this are lazy and do not get anywhere in life. Tell that to the lawyers, Judges, and politions that are for it. and smoke it them selves. Am I wrong or do some people that abuse alcohol lazy to.
