I won a digital camera in a competition through a website. The gift was to be sent through amazon.com, but they say they can’t send it to India. Can some body tell me how to go about it? I have a friend in America and I can ask her to take delivery but she is not coming to India soon and courier companies are not ready to deliver digital cameras to India.

It said on the advert, including accessories, usb lead etc, but all that has been delivered, is the camera. There were no batteries included, which the advert stated there would be, but i am anticipating, maybe the rest of the stuff will come in tomorrow`s post, as the camera came by recorded delivery. I have been and bought a battery charger, and batteries for the camera, but looking again at the advert, it says non re chargeable batteries, AA……..will my rechargeable batteries be suitable? They are AA size.

Yes, in fact highly recommend rechargeable NIMH batteries over alkaline. Digital cameras are notorius for draining alkaline batteries. But as to the missing stuff, recommend that you contact the seller ASAP to correct the issue. If its not to your satisfaction, remember to bring it up with ebay, and at the same time remember to leave appropriate feedback on the seller.

A lot of ebay listings are saying that the cards will work on any xbox, worldwide.
But, to me it doesn’t likely that Microsoft would make it that easy.

If they are region free, I could buy my live subscription from the US and use digital delivery to save myself some £

I asked this store if they had and they said that I could just buy the Microsoft Live points and download it from my xbox. Is this true?

You need to be a member of xbox live, silver or gold to be able to buy downloadable content.

From this you buy microsoft points, rather like theme park dollars, only spendable on xbox live.

You can buy them from xbox live or buy cards with codes to activate points.

To become an xbox live member simply plug your xbox into your modem or buy a wireless network adaptor and then purchase it via xbox live or via card s(for xbox live gold membership)

Then through xbox live "game marketplace" you can buy content for games.

Are there no camera stores in France? All you need is a simple screw-on wide angle adapter… look at a store that sells video as well as still cameras.

I’ll be passing through Singapore and want to buy a digital SLR camera on line and have it delivered to a friends place so he can meet me at the airport with it before I catch my next flight. Why am I buying it in Singapore you ask? I live in Korea and anything bought here will not include instructions and warranty written in English. I can also avoid paying duty this way. So, anyone know of a good on line shopping site based in Singapore with free local delivery. or any other suggestions as to how I can buy the camera – I don’t have time to take a taxi into the city and haggle for it.
